Cairo: «The Gulf»
The artist Omar Khairat revived the concert of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, as part of a series of cultural and artistic events organized by the museum as a civilizational, cultural, educational and artistic beacon.
This celebration coincides with the release of Khairat’s autobiographical book “The Rebel”.
A group of public figures, as well as former ministers and ambassadors of foreign countries in Egypt, and a number of Egyptian artists flocked to the museum’s grand theater.
The ceremony began with a book signing ceremony and a discussion session moderated by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, regarding the artist’s life and his personal musical experience.
Khairat thanked the attendees, expressing his happiness with what he saw in the museum of distinct and unique archaeological treasures, and revealed the reason for choosing the name “The Rebel” as the title of his book; As it is the characteristic that he sees as completely applicable to him, he is always rebellious once morest the clear form of Arabic music, noting that preparing the book took regarding two years.
