The news is reassuring for Jerry “The King” Lawler on Wednesday, who suffered a stroke earlier this week and was rushed to hospital.
His former sidekick, Jim Ross, says he was able to chat briefly with him last night. According to the AEW commentator, Jerry Lawler of course lacks strength but Jim Ross might understand what he was saying. Fortunately, Jerry Lawler’s prognosis is encouraging.
I spoke very briefly with @JerryLawler tonight.
He’s obviously weak but I might understand his affected speech.
Jerry’s prognosis is positive but he needs all our thoughts and prayers. #LoveYaKing pic.twitter.com/5pkunLriHm— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) February 8, 2023
Also, Jerry Lawler’s team made a Tweet to confirm that he was regaining strength in the hospital, stating:
”He is recovering at Fort Myers Hospital in Florida. His speech is limited, but with rehabilitation he will be able to completely regain the use of his voice. He thanks everyone for the prayers and will be back in the near future.”
A beautiful message with photos where Jimmy Hart visited him:
