24 GB of on-board RAM and 240 W of fast wired charging. This is what the new Realme GT5 offers us, announced this week in China and expected on site on September 4 in two colors (gray and green). The new top-of-the-range model from Realme is therefore advancing on the market as a premium model, which does not (practically) slack anywhere in terms of technical data sheet… it is not known, however, whether it will arrive in France to compensate for the departure of Oppo and OnePlus, sister companies of Realme, which should gradually abandon the French market. As things stand, nothing is less certain, with Realme France’s communication having been timid to say the least in recent months.

Anyway, this new Realme GT5 is available in three versions in China. A first compatible with 150 W fast charging “only”, equipped with 12 GB of RAM for 256 GB of storage, and a second this time combining 240 W fast charging and 16 GB of RAM for 512 GB of storage. It is this second version that can be configured with a maximum of 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.

A premium smartphone that we would like to see tumble in France

The prices stretch for their part between 3000 and 3800 yuan in China (i.e. between 380 and just over 480 euros excluding taxes). Note, however, that these three models are not equal on the battery side: the 150 W version thus has a 5240 mAh battery, compared to 4600 mAh for the version capable of recharging at 240 W. Using SuperVooc technology, the latter is d able to recover 20% of autonomy in just 80 seconds on mains, once morest 50% in 7 minutes for the 150 W configuration, assures Realme.

Whatever the version chosen, there is however a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen offering a 2.7K definition (1,240 x 2,772 pixels), but also support for 10-bit colors and 100% coverage. of the DCI-P3 spectrum. Realme finally promises us a luminance peak at 1,400 cd / m² and a frequency of 144 Hz. Under this panel is a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, coupled with an Adreno GPU part and a thought for in-game frame interpolation (perfect for boosting FPS). On the dissipation side, Realme finally talks regarding a 9-layer vapor chamber of 20.827 mm².

On the photo side, this new Realme GT5 finally relies on a Sony IMX890 main camera of 50 Mpx (1/1.56”), stabilized and opening at f/1.9. This main camera is supported by an ultra-wide-angle sensor opening at 112° for 8 Mpx, and a 2 Mpx macro module. On the front, there is a 16 Mpx sensor for the rest. The Realme GT5 should therefore offer an honest photo experience, but without having as much ambition as some competing models.

For the rest, the device (dual SIM) will finally have 5G, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. There is also support for the aptX HD, LHDC, LDAC and LC3 codecs, as well as Hi-Res Audio and Dolby certifications.
