Now, the LPDDR5 standard that’s been in smartphones for years, has finally got a replacement inside LPDDR5X. It’s worth noting that LPDDR5X was announced a long time ago, but only now, are we seeing the first smartphone brand to adopt it. The new standard comes with higher speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps. For comparison, LPDDR5 “only” can handle 6.4 Gbps. Moreover, it is 20% more energy efficient. Samsung was the first to make this standard but has not yet fitted it to its smartphones. Now, Realme is taking the lead to become the world’s first with the Realme GT2 Master Explorer.
