After the announcement of a series 10 for the time being reserved for the Asian markets, Realme is expected for at least one other smartphone: the GT Neo 5. The GT Neo series is generally well equipped and acts as a technological showcase for the brand, like the GT Neo 3which had inaugurated a fast charge at 150 W.
A leaked promotional visual on the Chinese social network Weibo allows you to get an idea of the characteristics of this GT Neo 5. In accordance with the rumors circulating in recent weeks, this smartphone would rely above all on an ultra-fast charge amounting to 240 W. A power greatly exceeding the current record, held by the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, which offers 210 W charging. If the capacity of the battery associated with the fast charging of the GT Neo 5 is not yet known, there is talk of it being combined with a chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm. It is therefore to be hoped that the whole is equipped with a powerful cooling system.
On the photo side, the GT Neo 5 would be equipped with a Sony IMX890 main sensor, still little known, but destined to become more democratic, since we find it at work on at least two smartphones already announced: the Find N2 et Find N2 Flip d’Oppo. The sensor in question measures 1/1.56″ and displays 50 megapixels. There remains the question of the associated optics, stabilized in the case of the GT Neo 5, but also of the second module visible on the back of the device. very high-end, more than that of the GT Neo 3, and which could justify a substantial price increase.These elements should be clarified during the first quarter of 2023 if Realme sticks to its usual schedule.
