The BBK Electronics conglomerate, which includes the brands Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Realme, has decided to flood the world with new flagship smartphones. The Chinese giant has planned their launch nicely gradually – three weeks ago we received the Vivo X200 Pro smartphone, two weeks ago the Oppo Find X8 Pro arrived, and last week the premiere of the OnePlus 13 took place. Now it’s the turn of the Realme brand, which is sending its inflated smartphone GT 7 Pro.

Realme GT 7 Pro: record bright display

The Realme GT 7 Pro targets the same group of customers as its siblings – it wants to attract demanding users who desire tremendous performance, a large and high-quality display, long life and a universal camera. The presented novelty meets all these requirements to the letter and adds something extra. For example, increased resistance that meets IP68 and IP69 protection – so you can not only submerge the phone in water, but even exert pressure on it with a stream of water.

Realme GT 7 Pro in Grey, White and Orange

In terms of design, the Realme GT 7 Pro is a classic combination of glass surfaces and a flat aluminum frame. It will be available in white, gray and orange, with the reliefs on the back of the latter variant to resemble the surface of the planet Mars.

Realme GT 7 Pro has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader Realme GT 7 Pro boasts record high brightness

The front of the phone is filled with a 6.78″ LTPO Eco2 OLED screen, which promises an excellent spectacle, and at the same time economical operation. The panel boasts a resolution of 1.5K (1,264 × 2,780 pixels), a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a high local brightness of 6 thousand nits – according to Realme, this is a record value in the world of smartphones. The screen is slightly curved on all sides and surrounded by very thin frames.

Camera with artificial intelligence

The display also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and a circular cut-out for a selfie camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.45. The rest of the cameras are then concentrated in a raised rectangular module in the upper left corner of the back – it houses the following three cameras:

  • 50 Mpx main with optical stabilization and f/1.8 aperture,
  • 8 Mpx wide-angle with f/2.2 aperture,
  • 50 Mpx telephoto lens with 3x optical (up to 120x hybrid) zoom and f/2.65 aperture.

To work with photos and videos, Realme uses artificial intelligence – it can increase the brightness of zoomed-in images, paint real objects in photos, sharpen blurry images, etc. Realme has also equipped its phone with a special mode that allows you to take photos and record video underwater.

Ready to play

Although the Realme GT 7 has a rather conservative design, it could easily be considered a gaming phone. Inside it ticks a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, supplemented by fast LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memory. The chipset is equipped with a cooling system with an evaporator chamber on an area of 11,480 mm2, gamers will also be pleased with the fast touch screen of the display evaluating touches at a frequency of 2,600 Hz and the Super Resolution and Gaming Super Frame functions powered by artificial intelligence.

Realme GT 7 Pro includes all modern wireless connectivity, i.e. 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC, and it also offers an infrared port for controlling home appliances. The phone also received the largest ever battery within the brand – its capacity is 6,500 mAh. However, its charging is not as fast as the Realme GT3 or GT5, this time we have to settle for “only” 120 watts. On the other hand, the new charging system pays off with a long battery life, Realme promises 4 years. Unfortunately, wireless charging is not supported.

As for the operating system, the latest Android 15 with the Realme UI 6.0 superstructure is used, while the manufacturer promises 3 major system updates and 4 years of security patches.
