realme always takes great care in the design of its cell phones and even the most basic ones receive a little attention at this point. The C51 follows this proposal and comes with an elegant look despite being a device made from a single piece of plastic with different textures.
We have a large 6.74-inch screen with HD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sensor that responds at 180 Hz for a faster response time and thus helping to perform better in games. The adopted IPS LCD panel has decent brightness and is on par with others in the category. There is only one sound output and the maximum volume is well below others we tested in this category.
The realme C51 comes with Unisoc’s Tiger T612 chip. The model we tested has 4 GB of RAM and uses an additional 4 GB of storage in an attempt to improve multitasking performance. Performance might be better and it doesn’t do much good when it comes to multitasking as it takes a while to open apps and also frequently reloads whatever is open in the background.
The 5,000 mAh battery yielded 23 hours in our moderate use test, which is a good result for the category. Recharging time is quick thanks to the powerful 33W charger that comes with the device. The photographic set is simple with a 50 MP sensor and another with a resolution below 1 MP that only serves to blur the background. Realme’s basics even surprise you in photos, especially in low-light locations.
