The promising Brazilian striker, Andric Felipe, 16, will move to the Spanish Real Madrid ranks in 2024, from Palmeiras, according to what the two clubs announced Thursday.
The royal club said in a statement, “Real Madrid, Palmeiras, Andrek and his family have reached an agreement, allowing the player to join Real Madrid when he reaches the legal age in July 2024,” when he turns 18.
He continued, “Until then, Andrique will continue training with Palmeiras. The player will travel to Madrid in the coming days to visit the club’s facilities.”
The Brazilian club added that “the terms and value of the deal are confidential,” while Brazilian reports indicated that it would amount to 70 million euros ($75 million).
And the Brazilian champion quoted the player as saying, “Until I reach Real Madrid, I will continue to dedicate myself as I have always done to give everything I have for Palmeiras: more goals, more victories, more titles and more happiness for our fans.”
Andrek has outstanding techniques and exceptional physical strength for his age, in addition to speed and the ability to shoot with both feet.
He will thus become the third Brazilian attacking teenager to sign for Real Madrid in recent years while he was still a minor, to join the Spanish giants upon reaching the age of 18, in compliance with the international transfer rules stipulated by the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
Vinicius Junior, now 22, signed with Real Madrid in 2017, before joining the club a year later, while Rodrygo, 21, signed the contract in 2018 before arriving the following year.
