Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said he forgot his club’s failed attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, following watching his team beat Liverpool and crowned the Champions League.

Real Madrid was Yemeni in joining Mbappe when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer, but the World Cup-winning player with the French national team in 2018 preferred to stay with Saint-Germain with a new 3-year contract.

Instead of Mbappe coming to Madrid, Real came to him yesterday, Saturday, where the team visited the French capital to participate in the final match of the European Champions League, and Real managed to win the title for the 14th time in its history.

Real Madrid’s rising star, Vinicius Junior, scored the game’s only goal.

Perez pledged that the Spanish league and Champions League champions will continue to seek the best players in the world.

“I really forgot Mbappe, we had a perfect season, and we will continue to work to get the services of the best players,” Perez told Movie Star.

The Real already has one of the best goalkeepers, Thibaut Courtois, who set a record by blocking 9 chances in the Champions League final, putting Liverpool in a bind of missing one opportunity following another until the match time ended.

“Teppo had an amazing season, he is the best goalkeeper in the world, which is why we signed him and brought him to Real,” Perez said of the Belgian goalkeeper.
