Real Madrid announced this Thursday that it is donating one million euros to help those affected by the consequences of DANA in various areas of Spain and especially in the Valencian Community.
This Thursday, the Real Madrid Foundation and the Red Cross launched a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting those affected by the storm.
Real Madrid reports that it has decided to “support this campaign with the donation of one million euros to help the numerous families who are in a critical situation and need all our help and solidarity.”
Journey of mourning
This weekend the League will experience a day of mourning for the victims of Dana and the effects of the storm, which has led to the postponement of the two matches scheduled in the Valencian Community for Saturday, November 2, Valencia-Real Madrid and Villarreal -Ray Vallecano.
At the expense of the affected clubs agreeing on a new date, the rest of the matches on matchday 12 of LaLiga EA Sporst will begin with a minute of silence in memory of those who died due to the consequences of the storm, who exceed one hundred without completing the work of location of the missing.
The competition will include another derby, the second in a row for the leader, Barcelona, who will receive Espanyol reinforced by their win over Real Madrid (0-4), with which they dealt a blow of authority. They accumulate 6 points ahead of the whites, nine over Villarreal, which is third, and ten over Atlético de Madrid, which currently completes the “Champions” positions.
The eleven of the German Hansi Flick, with the Polish Robert Lewandowski and the Brazilian Raphinha in scoring mode, receives a rival that is one point away from relegation, that has just lost to Sevilla and that has not yet won at home.
Postponed duel
The postponement of Valencia-Real Madrid and Villarreal-Rayo Vallecano will only allow the classification at the top to vary from the fourth place occupied by Atlético de Madrid and will keep Rubén Baraja’s Valencians as bottom, after their tie the last day with Getafe.
Atlético de Madrid will examine the reaction shown by Las Palmas since the arrival of Diego Martínez to their bench and also their own, after having suffered their first defeat against Betis (1-0), with an own goal. The Gran Canarian team continues to decline, but they have won two victories with Martínez at the helm.
The red and whites currently close the door to the Champions League with 2 points more than Athletic Club, Betis, Mallorca and Osasuna, the four teams that are still tied on 18 points.
Two of them, Athletic and Betis, will meet in San Mamés, after the draw of Ernesto Valverde’s team in Mallorca and the three points added by Uruguayan Manuel Pellegrini’s eleven. Betis will surely be out due to injury to midfielder Aitor Ruibal, they have only won one game away from Villamarín and they are the team against which Athletic has scored the most points in their current stadium.
Other meetings
Mallorca, who have just drawn in San Mamés, will play the match that will open the day tomorrow in the field of Alavés, who has suffered five defeats and in their stadium has only won two of five games, and Osasuna will open Saturday’s program at home against Valladolid, second from bottom and very much in need of a victory.
Sevilla-Real Sociedad and Girona-Leganés will be the most even matches of the day, to which the Sevillians arrive right in the middle of the table, with three more points (15) than the San Sebastian team and with different trajectories. Xavi García Pimienta’s team took the three points from Espanyol’s field and Imanol Alguacil’s team failed at home against Osasuna.
Girona, which lost its fifth game against Las Palmas, is one place ahead, with one more point (12), than Leganés, which celebrated its clearest league victory (3-0) over Celta, to put some distance with the red zone, which Valencia, Valladolid and Las Palmas occupy.
Celta de Vigo will once again appeal to their effectiveness in Balaídos, where they have achieved three victories, two draws and one defeat, to receive Getafe, who added a draw in extremis with Valencia and who need to achieve a second victory to stay away from relegation .
