Manchester City are out of the Champions League.
The reigning champions fell to Real Madrid – after a penalty shootout.

Manchester City dominated the second leg with Real Madrid, but after 120 minutes of play it was 1-1 and the shocker had to be decided on penalties.
There, Man City had to do without their normally regular penalty shooter Erling Haaland, who was replaced before extra time after a lackluster performance.
– He asked to be replaced. He could not continue, says Pep Guardiola without revealing whether it was a matter of fatigue or injury.
Lunin hero
Julián Álvarez, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic, Phil Foden and Ederson hit City’s penalties – but Silva and Kovacic missed.
Or rather: Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin saved.
– I am the happiest in the world right now, says Lunin afterwards.
