The City may pre-empt a plot near the city center. Opposed to the project, the right has once again left the room of the Municipal Council, Tuesday evening, but without sinking the vote this time.

A plot of around 20,000 m² near the town center of Prilly once again tore the municipal council apart.

It was quits or double, Tuesday evening, for a notice which caused a lot of ink to flow in Prilly and beyond. After an explosive first session last Thursday, which ended without a vote following the departure of all the right-wing parties, the Municipal Council finally gave the green light. The city in western Lausanne will be able to get its hands on land worth 62 million francs by using its right of first refusal.
