A continuous price increase for several years

Last year, the price of apartments increased by 5.6% on average for an average price of 227,900 euros while the increase was 7.7% for houses, with an average price of 267,500 euros.

“For the sixth year in a row, the average price of homes has increased. And it grew for the seventh consecutive year in the apartment segment ” , analyzed Laurent Vimont, president of the Century 21 network.

Prices increasing further in the West

These trends are, however, different from one region to another. Indeed, it is in Brittany that the price of apartments has exploded the most with 21.4% more than in 2020, 17.2% in Hauts-de-France or 13.9% in Pays de la Loire. . Conversely, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes the increase in the price of apartments was “only” 3.1% over this period.

Finally, with regard to houses, the evolution of prices in New Aquitaine was the most significant with an increase of 13.2%. On the other hand, it was, for example, more contained in Hauts-de-France, where the increase reached 5.2%.
