They amount to more than 303.58 billion DH instead of nearly 300.03 billion DH recorded at the same period a year previously. According to real estate sector indicators revealed by the Ministry of National Land Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, housing loans are up by 1, 95% in 2023 with approximately 244.05 billion DH compared to more than 239.38 billion DH at the end of December 2022. The latest indicators for the real estate sector at the end of December 2023 have just been revealed by the Ministry of National Land Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Urban Policy. We learn that real estate loans are up 1.19% at the end of December 2023, reaching more than 303.58 billion dirhams instead of nearly 300.03 billion dirhams recorded at the same period a year earlier. According to the same source, housing loans show growth of 1.95% in 2023 with around 244.05 billion dirhams compared to more than 239.38 billion dirhams at the end of December 2022. Crowdfunding for housing has also experienced an increase (+14.16%) amounting to 21.61 billion dirhams at the end of December 2023 compared to more than 18.93 billion dirhams in 2022. As for loans to real estate developers, the same statistics show report a drop of 1.70% with more than 54.01 billion dirhams recorded at the end of December 2023 instead of around 54.95 billion dirhams achieved at the end of December 2022. It must be said that the contribution rate in the economy is 22.9% in 2023 compared to 23.8% at the end of December 2022, down 3.88%. Foreign direct investments in real estate, as the same source recalls, are growing by 18.47% in 2022 with 7.79 billion dirhams compared to 6.58 billion dirhams made in 2021.

Regarding the programs linked to the Damane Assakane fund, namely Fogarim and Fogaloge, the same indicators reveal that 291,623 households benefited from this financing. Thus, 55.67 billion dirhams in loans have been granted as part of its operation since its launch until the end of December 2023. Referring to the same statistics, it turns out that the number of families having benefited from the guarantee Fogarim has reached 217,040 households (for 33.90 billion dirhams) since the start of this initiative in 2004 until the end of December 2023. In December alone, 1,396 loans were granted (for 0.150 billion dirhams) compared to 557 loans (for 0.092 billion dirhams). Concerning the Fogaloge guarantee, the number of beneficiary households is 74,583 families since the launch of this operation in 2009 until the end of December 2023 (for 21.77 billion dirhams). In the twelfth month of 2023, 412 loans were granted (for 0.121 billion dirhams) instead of 392 loans (for 0.133 billion dirhams) in December 2022. Regarding overall housing production, 104,505 housing units were granted. were completed in the first half of 2023, down 6.03% compared to the same period in 2022 (6,339 plots of land including 4,509 economic and social units, 77,986 housing units including 67,479 economic and social units, 20,180 restructuring units).

At the same time, 133,848 housing units were started in the first half of 2023 (16,364 plots of land including 12,830 economic and social units, 86,412 housing units including 71,051 economic and social units, 31,072 restructuring units), an increase of 36.74% compared to the first half of 2022. In the same sense, the Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Urban Policy had set up the social housing program in 250,000 DH. The same department recalls that nearly 2.11 million homes in this category have been completed (1,507 agreements between 2010 and December 2023). The private sector recorded 2.04 million housing units completed (i.e. 1,450 agreements). From 2010 until the twelfth month of 2023, 685,173 social housing units worth 250,000 DH received their certificate of conformity compared to 617,901 housing units from 2010 to December 2022.

For social housing at 140,000 DH, they have 82 agreements for 40,010 homes between 2008 and December 2023. The private sector has 52 agreements for 24,643 homes while the public sector has 30 agreements for 15,367 homes. The number of housing units which received their certificate of conformity from 2008 until December 2023 amounts to 29,478 compared to 28,692 at the same period in 2022. As for middle class housing, they reach 11,328 units (32 agreements covered between 2013 and December 2023). In this sense, the private sector has 27 agreements for 9,655 completed homes and the public sector has 5 agreements (1,673 homes). During the same period, the number of middle class units completed and marketed is 3,888 housing units. As for social rental housing, a single agreement has been targeted to rent 50 housing units from 2010 to December 2023. Furthermore, sales of cement reached 1.122 million tonnes compared to 0.942 million tonnes in December 2022, showing in this respect a growth of 19.10%. Note that the added value of the construction sector in 2022 is 6.1% with MAD 72.74 billion compared to MAD 67.18 billion in 2021, achieving an increase of 8.3%.
