The amount they will finally pay will be proportional to the area where the property is located and the characteristics that will be identified by the technical scientist, with the average price being calculated at 500 euros.
Among the areas that are invited to participate in the drafting of studies are owners who have properties in Attica, Halkidiki, Pelion, islands, but mainly in Crete and in coastal settlements. In other words, areas that, according to the forest maps, have large areas of forest or grassland.
Commitment
As sources explain to the “Free Press”, the exact deadline of the extension is expected to be “locked in” today, however it cannot be of long duration given that it is an obligation that had been known since last year and on the other hand because on May 1st the anti-fire season begins.

- What does the engineer’s report include?
Following the autopsy, the engineer/technical scientist examines the property’s risk criteria and completes the risk assessment form from which its classification is derived. He then draws up a report which must include the following:
-Required preventive measures, passive fire protection measures and active fire protection measures.
-Plan of the property where the necessary elements will be recorded, such as indicatively the positions of the main and auxiliary buildings, the access to the property, the protection zones, the positions and distances of the trees, the distances of neighboring buildings, etc.
- Where does the owner submit the required documents?
Until the operation of the special electronic platform in which the Risk Assessment Form, the Report of the responsible technical scientist and the Statement of Implementation of the owner’s fire safety measures will be registered, the above data shall be submitted in duplicate in paper form to the relevant municipality.
