It is sad to read what Nordjuyske reports regarding vacant youth housing in the center of Aalborg.
At the same time, we hear from the chairman of a housing association that the problem with 300 vacant youth homes is not a particular problem, and that he wants to offer the apartments to less-economically-advantaged citizens, right?
What regarding the operation?
After all, it gives bad numbers on the bottom line, and who and where does the money come from? It is directly a drop group, the chairman here starts with, and then it is only his own association that we hear regarding, so perhaps the figure with the 300 vacant tenancies should be increased to 800.
Vacant apartments in Aalborg are not just youth housing. This applies to all, including newly built complexes, which stand in hundreds of vacant newly built apartments around Aalborg – and soon also Nørresundby, all the while construction cranes roll around in both cities. What are the municipality’s initiatives and future plans? Are there forecasts for what the city expects from housing in the future or does the municipality just let the investors build?
The biggest buyers are, among other things, the pension funds, and thus the citizens who had expected greater savings from their deposits must expect negative income. The builder then just leaves it standing until they have received their payment.
We have heard the mayor and various councilors recommend that all the vacant business flats can be converted into flats – that is, we heard that the director of City Properties, Hans Andersen, was on board with the idea.
Hans Andersen today receives 22,000 kroner per sq.m. How does that accounting relate to the municipality’s desire to convert business premises into residential apartments? At the same time that there are thousands of vacant apartments? As I have previously described, Aalborg city must be reopened with cars and parking options, and not at DKK 45 per person. hour – and not like in the parking garage at Musikkens Hus, where the cars are parked, like what caged chickens are offered.
Citizens must be treated as good and welcome citizens, with good service and not just as money tanks. At the same time, in Northern Jutland on 15 April we can read concern regarding the new Center Nord: City chairman Mikele Volpi is furious regarding the construction of this centre, which of course must be given the go-ahead.
It is the councilors and planners of the municipality that the City chairman had to take in for a cup of coffee many years ago. Unfortunately, dear chairman – if you don’t know, customers want, among other things, as in City Syd, good parking options. Because the older citizens spend several hours on the bus to buy a gift in, for example, Magasin, and the city’s shops no longer wrap the gifts neatly, but we have to bring a bag or bag ourselves.
