Re-elected as a deputy in the 7th constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, the Insoumis published a somewhat provocative message on social networks. At the end of May, the parliamentarian had been excluded for 15 days from the Palais Bourbon for having brandished the Palestinian flag in the hemicycle.

Having just been re-elected as a member of parliament, Sébastien Delogu (La France insoumise) has set the tone. A few hours before his return to the Assembly, this close friend of Jean-Luc Mélenchon and a fan of spectacular stunts has published a somewhat provocative message on social media.

L’Insoumis won this Sunday in the 7th constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône with nearly 60% of the vote. Like the 73 other candidates elected in the first round, the parliamentarian is expected this Monday followingnoon at the Palais Bourbon, to collect his access badge as well as his computer equipment. But while the new legislature has not yet begun, the Marseillais is already rekindling a controversy.

“I’m rushing to the Assembly to retrieve the Palestinian flag,” published this Monday morning on X (ex-Twitter) Sébastien Delogu. The deputy took the opportunity to attach to this message a photo of himself in the hemicycle with the Palestinian flag in his hand. This controversial gesture, made on May 28, earned him a fifteen-day exclusion from the Palais Bourbon. The new Assembly has not even been elected yet and already the first signs of a particularly turbulent legislature are being announced.
