A few days ago, Pirry referred to an episode that marked his life: the termination of his emblematic television program. Through a video posted on her social networks, she explained how she coped with this difficult moment.
Pirry’s departure from RCN
“When my program was taken away from me in a humiliating and unfair way, my mother told me that “when one door closes, another one opens”. I told her “mamita, don’t give me asshole consolations”. The documentary filmmaker did not expect such a decision, since he was in one of the best moments of his career, since he had managed to garner several national awards and recognitions such as: four Simón Bolívar National Journalism Awards and three TV and Novel Awards.
He was also nominated on several occasions for the India Catalina Awards for the program ‘Especiales Pirry’, which was broadcast on the RCN channel between 2002 and 2016.

Pirry concluded the video by confessing that this dismissal allowed him to resume many dreams that he had put aside: “If I don’t get fired from my job, I don’t realize that I had lost the north of my dreams, which was to travel and explore.
