Trouble for the fans of RB Leipzig before the cup final in the evening once morest Eintracht Frankfurt. The DFB has banned the choreo planned by three fan groups.
The group “Rasenballisten” tweeted: “Parts of today’s choreo did not meet the requirements of the DFB. It is all the more important that you all come in red, so that an appropriate and uniform picture is nevertheless created.”
According to BILD information, the DFB’s ban is aimed at the material used in the choreo – which was not fully classified as “flame-retardant”.
In advance, the fans informed regarding their choreography during the week: In a first step, foil scarves should be held up, then a block flag should be lowered from the upper tier.
The club had been in contact with the association since midday and was still hoping for a solution. But the ban remains in place.
An RB statement said: “Parts of our fans’ choreography might not be set up today following consultation with the DFB and the Berlin fire brigade. Doesn’t matter. Our red curve will stand – together for our team and for our city!”
At the same time, the club celebrated with the supporters at Hammarskjöldplatz at the fair fanfest. Nice gesture: The RB professionals let around 25,000 euros of their previously earned cup bonus jump and pay the first round of beer for the fans at the fan festival.
