The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has granted type-approval registration for a new foldable smartphone from Motorola. With that, the device can now be sold in Brazilian stores, leaving the brand to decide the best time for it.
O Anatel’s homologation document does not inform the commercial name of the model, but it is speculated that it is the Motorola Razr 2023which varies in name depending on the country, and can also be called Moto Razr Plus or Razr 40 Ultra.
The device will have 5G connection, support for NFC and should be a strong competitor for the Galaxy Z Flip line from Samsung. Rumors suggest that the Moto Razr 2023 should come with Qualcomm’s lauded Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform.
The processor must work together with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM memory. Motorola’s new foldable has two slots for SIM cards, a detail to be considered, given that other brands have adopted an eSIM port and option.

The internal screen will continue to be 6.7 inches and 144 Hz refresh rate, using an AMOLED display. The external one should keep the 2-inch one. Rumors also suggest that the brand will keep the 50 MP and 13 MP lenses at the rear and the 32 MP sensor on the internal screen.
A teaser of the smartphone was released on the Weibo forum. Motorola has not yet released the possible release date of its next foldable, but speculation points out that this should not go beyond the month of June.
