The pedaler from Quillón, Héctor Quintana, remains intractable and started 2024 in the best way, after winning the title of the “Vuelta a Maule”, one of the most demanding competitions in the country.
The cyclist from the “Valley of the Sun” had a few days at a high level that allowed him to lead the elite category and also the general category during the four days of competition, where he won different stages, flying goals and mountain goals.
“Well, we started with the lead, we had to defend it, the team’s work was spectacular, they always controlled the race at the bottom and at the front, we had absolute control of everything, I thank them because they achieved this, and the staff as well, In the end we attacked a lot and thank God we were able to finish in the best way,” declared Héctor Quintana.
“I had a mishap in the first time trial, but then we were able to correct it and then we gained strength to lead the rest of the stages, we are super happy because it has been a positive return,” he added.
Now the pedaler confirmed his presence in the Ascensión a los Nevados a Chillán, so he will have the possibility of racing at home. Furthermore, the outstanding athlete hopes to continue internationalizing his career.
