O Raycastutility for macOS that serves as a kind of replacement for Spotlightbut with a much longer list of features, got a pro version with a host of continuity and artificial intelligence features, including chatbot integration ChatGPTda OpenAI.
The first big news of this new app plan is the Raycast AI. With it, users can ask questions, translate codes into other programming languages, check the grammar of a text and much more — this, it is worth noting, from any corner of macOS.
Another differential of Raycast Pro is the synchronization in the cloud, which allows the user to keep his workflow across multiple Macs (such as a personal computer and a work computer, for example). According to the app’s developers, this feature syncs extensions, quick links, keyboard shortcuts, and more.
The utility also gained a true “store bath” when it comes to customization. From now on, subscriber users can choose from a number of pre-selected themes for the Raycast or create their own style. As noted by the app team, this allows you to, for example, use a specific theme while working and another one when you’re just relaxing on your Mac.
Finally, the Raycast clipboard currently stores items copied by the user for up to three months. Those who subscribe to the new plan, however, will be able to enjoy the feature with an unlimited history, and the copied items are not synchronized to protect the user’s privacy.
The free version of Raycast, it is worth noting, is still available and still has the same features as always. The Raycast Pro costs $8/month in the annual plan and $10/month on the monthly plan. There is also an option for teams that costs $12/month in the annual plan or $15/month on the monthly plan.
More information regarding the new plan can be found on this page.
