A Brussels resident of Rwandan origin, Ravi Bongo enchants the Belgian capital with his Afro-electronic discoveries. Between two radio shows, he released a progressive PAM Club between amapiano, afro-house and gqom.
Born in Rwanda, Bruce Tanghe aka Ravi Bongo arrived in Belgium at the age of 5. It was his friend DJ Yooth who taught him DJing, as part of Brikabrak, a initially educational project, which quickly became a niche for enthusiasts. By joining this multidisciplinary collective, Ravi Bongo becomes an ambassador for electronic music from his continent and the diaspora, adding a hint of the spirit of Belgian club culture. Known for his dynamic style, this digital digger hosts the “Ravi Bongo Show” on Bruzz radio. Without forgetting to encourage local talent, he shares his findings in thematic programs centered for example on reggae and dancehall, amapiano and afro-house, or traditional music from sub-Saharan Africa.
