Skills and Competencies

  • Good accounting or statistics background (e.g., through coursework, CFA (or equivalent), may be required for some, but not all teams.
  • Strong analytical skills essential for interpreting complex data.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for creating presentations and reports.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills critical for teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing workflow, adapting to changing circumstances, and prioritizing assignments accordingly.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail are crucial.
  • Fluency in English is a fundamental requirement for this position.

Education

  • Students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification, or a Master’s Degree, in relevant fields such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Political Economy, International Relations, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines.
  • Ideally one year ahead of graduation

Responsibilities

Supporting Analytical teams as needed. Examples of analytical work may include:

  • Participate in case studies designed to enhance analytical comprehension and application.
  • Contribute to various analytical, research, and data-driven projects.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, providing solid support for credit evaluations.
  • Prepare financial documents, informative charts, and professional presentations for team use.
  • Monitor media outlets for pertinent news related to special projects or portfolios.
  • Deliver analytical and research support to the rating teams to inform decision-making.
  • Contribute to the establishment of high-quality research publications that reflect rigorous analysis.

About the team

The Working Student will be integrated into the Corporate Finance Group (CFG).
