Genk won at Seraing (0-2) on the 34th day of the Jupiler Pro League and at the same time secured his eighth place synonymous with Playoffs 2.

Racing Genk did not start the game well once morest Seraing. The home side even had the best chances until Dabila was shown the red card. “Before the season, we were aiming higher than Playoffs 2, but we’re still happy we got there. That’s just the situation we’re in,” Kristian Thorstvedt said following the game.
“At the end I scored the second goal, but I’m also happy for Maarten Vandevoordt, who made a clean sheet. Now we find ourselves in a difficult group with Ghent, Mechelen and Charleroi, but I prefer to play a few more games than already being on vacation”, he concludes with a smile.
