A working Apple-1 computer, signed by Steve Wozniak, was recently sold at auction. The buyer paid $223,520 for it. Today auction house RR Auction sold an ad for an Apple-1 computer.

Details

It is a plain sheet of paper containing an advertisement for the Apple-1. This is a draft of the specifications for the Apple-1 computer, along with parts information. But above all, this text was written by Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple.

The sheet bears Jobs’ signature and the address is that of his parents’ house, where Apple was born.

The handwritten draft matches the original announcement of the Apple-1, which first appeared in the July 1976 issue of Interface Magazine. The ad is accompanied by two Polaroid photographs of Apple-1 computers.

The lot was put up for sale by a close friend of Steve Jobs, who was present during the development phase of the Apple-1. These objects were offered to him as a souvenir.

The auction house sold Jobs’ project for $175,759.
