Astronomers revealed that on Saturday morning, five planets will appear in the sky in a rare planetary show. Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn should all be visible an hour before sunrise on June 17, when they line up near the eastern horizon.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, three of the brightest planets, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn, can be seen with the naked eye.

Planetary parades, or alignments, occur when many planets fall into the same constellation. Planetary alignments are quite uncommon, and the next event is scheduled for April 2024.

It will occur in a 93-degree sector, which means the planets will appear close to each other in a small region of the sky. Saturday morning is the best time to see both planets, but Saturn will rise in the dead of night. June 16th in the constellation Aquarius.

Jupiter will be in the constellation Aries, while Mercury will be in the constellation Taurus.

NASA recommends checking the weather forecast ahead of time to find a cloud-free area, and that should also provide an unobstructed view of the horizon, avoiding buildings and bright city lights.

Bringing binoculars or even a telescope is also useful, especially for spotting less visible planets such as Neptune and Uranus, and to distinguish between stars and planets, observers must look for non-clusters among the fainter stars.
