It is nothing new that the Apple already invested in the production of the most varied types of products, but it may come as a surprise to many people that the company has already manufactured even tennis — well, not so much, if you’ve been following us for the last few decades.
Apple’s gift to its employees in the mid-1990s, the Omega Sports Apple Computer Sneakers (dating back to 1985) are a true rarity these days, frequently auctioned and purchased at high prices by collectors.
the auction website Sotheby’sincluding, is selling a brand new — not literally speaking… well, you get the point — pair of these sneakers for a trifle of US$50 mil.
According to the product description, the sneakers are still packed in the original box and only have a few imperfections caused by old age – such as the yellowed midsole.
Another factor to highlight is that the sneakers on sale are a size 42 — but perhaps this is not such relevant information, since it is unlikely that anyone who purchases the product will ever consider wearing them.
Sotheby’s accepts payments in reais and even international shipments — although Brazil is not one of the supported destinations. But that doesn’t seem to matter either, does it? Or is anyone here interested? ????
