Kloten missed his first game for his return to the National League. The Airmen lost 4-1 on Sunday at home to Rapperswil-Jona, who therefore find themselves at the top of the standings.
Rapperswil-Jona, however, only ensured success in the last three minutes of play. Jordan Schroeder scored 3-1 on the power play 2’50” from the end, on an assist from the inevitable Roman Cervenka, Andrew Rowe sealing the score in the 59th in an empty cage.
The Lakers nevertheless dominated the debates. They opened the scoring in the 12th minute, Dominic Lammer signing his third success of the season already. Kloten recovered to 1-1 45 seconds later in ‘power play’ on a goal from Jonathan Ang, but ‘Rappi’ regained the advantage in the 27th thanks to Nico Dünner taking advantage of a defensive error.
