The platform Rappi reported that it launched a pilot project in Mexico that will allow its users to pay in its application with cryptocurrencies due to the rise of the digital world and its search for new options that favor users.
The president of the company, Sebastián Mejia, assured that in this first phase they decided to build a product that allows its consumers to connect their digital wallets and accounts in exchanges to convert crypto currencies into Rappi credits and in this way, access all the products. available within the app.
“Innovation is one of the pillars of Rappi. We are studying the crypto world with interest and we believe that the future is the intersection of the crypto world with non-crypto companies, with easy user experiences and without complexity,” he stated.

According to the company of Colombian origin, this initiative is initially being developed in the Mexican Republic and is in its initial stage.
So, for now, Rappi users in Mexico will be able to pay with cryptocurrencies for the credits, which can then be spent on any of the products and services offered by the application.
Likewise, he specified that this project has been led by a multidisciplinary team from different business verticals of the platform to incorporate it in such a way that it can add, not only the easy purchase experience within the application, but also to strengthen the security in transactions through an alliance with Bitso and Bitpay.
