HEFEI, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) — The number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for civilian use has increased. The number of aircraft registered with real names in China has already exceeded 1.11 million as of the end of August. This is an increase of 15.9 percent from the end of 2022.

The above information comes from the Civil Aviation Administration of China at the 2023 Low Altitude Economic Development Conference (LAEC) in Wuhu, east China’s Anhui Province. Last Friday (Sept. 15)

Statistics show that a total of 182,000 UAV licenses were issued in August, and the cumulative flight hours of UAVs in China During January-August, the number exceeded 16.8 million hours.

Moreover, the meeting aims to be a space for discussing the future direction and development path of the low-altitude economy. and expand industrial cooperation on a wide scale.
