‘Rape of a minor disciple’ Lee Kyu-hyun, hit and run death
While coach Lee Kyu-hyeon (42), a former figure skating national, was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a minor student, the past sexual harassment of a minor student, drunk driving, and hit-and-run fatalities also surfaced once more.
Coach Kyu-hyun Lee was accused of sexual harassment at the Kiss & Cry zone following the women’s single short program match at the 2017 International Skating Union (ISU) Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix.
At that time, a video of coach Lee Kyu-hyun patted his buttocks and wrapped around his waist spread, and some netizens expressed displeasure. He tried to contact coach Lee Kyu-hyun through the Korea Skating Federation, but he might not get an explanation.
Meanwhile, coach Lee Kyu-hyun has been charged with driving under the influence three times. Also, in September 2005, while driving his vehicle in Bomun-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, he hit a passerby in his 50s with a vehicle and ran away and was arrested.
