The guest of Pascal Vrebos was, this Sunday, the president of the PTB, Raoul Hedebouw.
On the set, Raoul Hedebouw went back on his desire to find a career development at age 55 for the pension, and an early pension at age 60. “Working until age 67 is not possible for the vast majority of workers”he justifies himself. “Because the difference in healthy life expectancy between the elite and the working class is 17 years… 17 years less life expectancy”deplores the president of the PTB.
How does he intend to go regarding paying these pensions? “France spends 14 to 15% of its GDP on pensions, we 10%. We have the lowest pensions in Western Europe. If France can pay 15% today, why can’t we? do it in a few years?”he said.
To find this money, Raoul Hedebouw suggests drawing it from what he calls “the elite”, that is to say “the super rich”. “1% of the population now owns more than 600 billion euros in wealth?” It is among the 37 Belgian billionaires that he wants us to go “to seek the money, and not from the pensioners.”
