The first Belgian hospital is in 44th place. This is UZ Leuven, which therefore gains four places compared to last year. Further down the ranking, we find UZ Gent which goes from 123rd place in 2023 to 107th in 2024.

Finally, the last Belgian hospital present in the ranking is UZA Antwerp, in 226th place, which was simply not in the ranking in 2023.
The top 5 worldwide is made up of the Mayo Clinic – Rochester, the Cleveland Clinic, the Toronto General – University Health Network, the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital. The same top 5 as in 2023even if the places were a little reversed.
The ranking is based on an online survey of 85,000 experts, as well as public data from patient surveys.
