Randiņš ar dįvisi: Mārtiņš Počs Navigates Love and Acting Challenges

For some time now, viewers of smart television “Go3” have been able to follow the events of the dating show “Randiņš ar dįvisi”.

Even though the usual dating shows fight for the heart of one person, this time “Randiņš ar dvais” is different in that the fight is for the hearts of two Latvian actors. One of them is the former actor of the Daile Theater Mārtiņš Počs. Currently, Mārtiņš Počs is getting to know life outside the theater and is also ready for new challenges. Often, being in the role of event and wedding manager, he also does not leave the thought of his own wedding and opportunities to find the love of his life. In this conversation about the sacrifices of the acting profession and love.

How were you approached to participate in the show “Date with Two”?

We filmed the program “Four on Suitcases” in Mexico. At the time, the producers were looking for someone who would be willing to take part in a new dating show. We were sitting in a cafe, and at one point the stylist Indra Salceviča told everyone that Mārtiņš was an excellent candidate. At first I thought it was a joke. I was encouraged, and when I flew to Latvia, I thought – why not!

The decision to make a show about two men searching for a lover is an interesting one. Do you think it was a good decision?

Now that the show has been filmed, I’m so glad there were two of us. The tension, especially with the girls, was high. It was also difficult not to offend her somehow. I said from the beginning that I did not want to compete, that was not my reason for participating in the show.

How do you look at a wedding? Nowadays, couples tend not to marry and just live together. Which way do you lean more?

I want to get married, but I want to do it once and for life.

Randiņš ar Dvīsi: A Cheeky Take on Modern Romance

For those of you out there hiding under a rock—or perhaps in the arms of your cat, binge-watching yet another season of your favorite show—let me fill you in. Viewers of the Latvian dating spectacle known as Randiņš ar dvīsi are in for a treat that’s as spicy as a Latvian potato salad at a summer barbecue. Why? Because this show flips the typical dating format on its head and dives headfirst into the chaotic waters of love by featuring not one but TWO Latvian actors vying for… well, their hearts. Not jealous yet? You should be!

The Players: Mārtiņš Počs and the Heart of the Matter

Our main heart-throb here is the former sensational sensation of the Daile Theater, Mārtiņš Počs. Picture it: Mārtiņš, fresh from the stage, stepping into the wild, uncharted realm of events and wedding management while secretly dreaming of his own fairy tale wedding. It’s like if Ralph Macchio decided to start a karate teaching business after The Karate Kid but wanted to win an Oscar in the process. Talk about multifaceted!

As it turns out, Mārtiņš was plucked from relative obscurity in a café in Mexico, amid the chaos of filming another program. The producers, having survived the war of romance in a typical dating show, decided that the only way to keep things spicy was to invite two handsome gents. It’s not just love that’s being pursued here; it’s a riveting game of emotional chess, and apparently, Mārtiņš is one of the knights. An excellent candidate indeed!

Why Compete When You Can Jest?

Ever wondered how it feels to be plunged into a contest for affection, especially when the other contestant is another chap? Mārtiņš claims that the initial tension was palpable. One might say the atmosphere crackled like a freshly opened bag of crisps. His honesty about feeling more awkward than a penguin at a desert party really resonates. “I didn’t want to offend anyone,” he chortles, probably thinking of all the possible mishaps of chasing love. Clearly, flirting isn’t his only flaw—modesty is also in his repertoire!

Weddings: To Knot or Not to Knot?

Speaking of events, let’s turn our attention to the elephant in the room—or should I say, the ring on the finger? Mārtiņš wishes to walk down the aisle but with a twist: “Once and for life.” Wise words from a man who seems to know that love isn’t just a casual fling. But in this modern age of living together like a couple of stray cats rummaging through a dumpster, are weddings becoming as outdated as VHS tapes?

There’s a new trend where couples seem more interested in shacking up than tying the knot. But with Mārtiņš’s sentiments echoing louder than an opera singer at a karaoke night, it raises a question: is the idea of a wedding an ancient relic or the ultimate romantic endeavor? Perhaps the dating show Randiņš ar dvīsi will serve as a litmus test for validating the future of love in the age of Tinder swipes and Instagram DMs.

In Conclusion: A Modern Love Story Unfolding

So, what have we learned from the delightful chaos that is Randiņš ar dvīsi? Firstly, that love is a game best played with a buddy, and secondly, that sometimes you need a little competition to make things interesting. As for Mārtiņš, whether he finds his true love or just another handsome face to share a stage with, one thing is for certain: love in Latvia is certainly not boring!

As you tune into this wacky and wonderful dating show, remember that whether you’re a die-hard romantic or a cynic hiding behind a guarded heart, there’s a little bit of Mārtiņš Počs in all of us, just waiting for our moment to shine! So grab your popcorn, settle in, and let the antics unfold!

Our journey started while we were filming the captivating program “Four on Suitcases” in the sunny locales of Mexico.
