Faisalabad: Attacks on Christian churches in Pakistan. The mob attacked the places of worship in Jaranwala district. Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported that mosques were attacked and houses looted on charges of blasphemy.
The destroyed churches are Salvation Army Church, United Presbyterian Church, Allied Foundation Church and Sheshrunwala Church located in Isa Nagri. The provincial police chief said that five mosques, including one big and three small, were attacked and the mosques were partially destroyed.

Punjab Police Chief Usman stated that Christians have been relocated from the area where the incidents of violence took place.
Begging for justice. Legal action should be taken to restore law and order. The safety of all citizens must be ensured. Bishop Azad Marshall tweeted that life and property are precious in a country that celebrated independence.
Christian leaders accused the police of standing by as spectators when the attack took place.
