Rammstein Singer Till Lindemann’s Sexual Assault Allegations: Legal Action and Tour Cancellations

“These accusations are invariably false,” assured, Thursday, June 8, the lawyers of Till Lindemann, singer of the German metal group Rammstein, that several women are implicated for sexual assaults committed following concerts.

“On social networks, in particular Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, serious accusations have been made by various women once morest our client”write the Berlin lawyers Simon Bergmann and Christian Schertz, in a press release. “It has thus been repeatedly claimed that women were drugged with GHB or alcohol at Rammstein concerts, in order to allow our client to engage in sexual acts with them”assure the lawyers. “We will immediately take legal action for all such allegations”they add.

The case began at the end of May with the testimony of a 24-year-old Irish woman who accused the singer and lyricist of the group of having drugged and sexually assaulted her following a concert the same month, in Lithuania. This testimony released the words of other young women all describing, more or less, the same scenario.

The groupies would have been spotted in the front rows of concerts, filmed or photographed for Lindemann to make his choice, before they were invited backstage for parties. Some would then have been drugged before being abused by the 60-year-old singer.

The organizers of several concerts, in Munich and Berlin in particular where the German group in full European tour must occur, gave up installing just in front of the scene the zone in which the singer would have spotted the young women.
