Rammstein has to interrupt the concert: “The first time in history”

The Rammstein concert in Leipzig had to be interrupted for half an hour on Friday evening (May 20). Because of a thunderstorm with heavy rain, it became too dangerous for the band and theirs according to the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” 45.000 Fans.

The interior was cleared regarding 45 minutes following the start of the concert. The concert-goers were informed with multilingual announcements and information via social media. After 15 minutes, the fans were allowed back into the standing area.

In a video showing lead guitarist Richard Kruspe backstage during the break, and this several times on the band’s Instagram page was shared, he explains in English: “This is the first time in Rammstein history that we have to interrupt the show because of rain.” Fascinated by the mood of the end of the world, he added: “Look at that. History.”

Germany concerts completely sold out

The internationally successful German rock band has had a new frontman since May 15th Till Lindemann die remaining concerts of the big stadium tour 2020/2021 to. It all started at Letnany Airport in the Czech capital of Prague. After Leipzig, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin are also on the German part of the cult band’s program. However, tickets for these shows are no longer available in the official presale.

This is different in other European cities. There are still limited contingents for both Klagenfurt concerts on May 25th and 26th, as well as for Cardiff in Wales (June 30th) and the two concerts in Lyon, France (July 8th and 9th). In Norway and Sweden there is also the possibility Rammstein live – the band will be performing in Oslo on July 24th and in Gothenburg on July 28th. Tickets for all these dates are on the official site of the “Sonne” interpreters available. Buyers are redirected to the websites of the respective advance booking offices.
