Rammstein hired a law firm to have the allegations against singer Till Lindemann checked. This newspaper reported on Friday about serious allegations made by several women. Accordingly, fans are said to have been cast for sex with the singer, on the Internet and at the concerts. Some of them accuse him of abuse of power and sexual assault. The band has now hired a spokesman who runs a Berlin communications agency. From the Rammstein environment it can be heard that a law firm has also been commissioned to have the allegations checked.
For this purpose, a seven-page catalog of questions has been prepared, which is to be worked through with numerous employees involved in the tour. Questionnaires by e-mail, which the management sent immediately after the tweets with allegations from a concert visitor in Vilnius two weeks ago, should also be included in the investigation. According to the law firm, whose name is not to be disclosed, results are expected by next week. This speed would be amazing for a determination of this magnitude.
In the future, only individuals will be allowed to go to “Row Zero”.
In addition, Alena M. is said to have been excluded from the four Rammstein concerts in Munich, which will take place from Wednesday evening. This is reported by several German media. According to research, the native Russian recruits women in the social networks for meetings with Lindemann, which also deal with sex. She is a Rammstein fan, calls herself “Casting Director on tour with @till_lindemann_official” on Instagram and has been with the band since 2019. She did not respond to inquiries. Her exclusion from the events was apparently short-term: On Monday, Alena M. posted recordings from downtown Munich, the Hofbräuhaus at night.
Rammstein released a statement the day after the article was published. In it they write that those who have made allegations have “a right to their point of view”. But the band also has the right not to be prejudiced. They ask not to participate in “public prejudice of any kind”.
The German Family Minister Lisa Paus called on Tuesday for better protection for visitors to Rammstein events. Now it can be heard from the band’s environment that safety precautions are planned. In addition to the security staff, there should now be awareness teams in the audience, i.e. supervisors who people in emergencies can turn to.
And in Row Zero, the notorious area between the stage and the first barrier, only a few people will be allowed to stay in the future, for example employees of the security service or the record label. Many of the women who are said to have been recruited to meet Lindemann spent the concert in this zone. According to tour employees, it is not possible to abolish the area, as has now been demanded by some German politicians, as it also serves as a safety zone with strict rules for the spectacular fire and pyro show.
The after-show parties will continue to exist – because, according to people close to the band, they simply belong to Rammstein.
