The story of the Ramayana begins with the figure of Rama, namely the crown prince of Prabu Dasarata in Kosala with its capital Ayodya. Has three brothers named Bharata, Laksmana and Satrugna. Rama was born from Dasarata’s first wife, Kausala, Barata from his second wife, Kaikeyi, and Lakshmana and Satrugna from his third wife, Sumitra. They live in harmony.
In the forest, Rama, Sinta and Laksmana live a simple life, far from the comforts of the kingdom. However, the big trial came when Ravana, the mighty king of Lanka, was tempted by Sita’s beauty and kidnapped her. This is where the Ramayana story culminates. Rama, full of love and determination, was determined to save his wife from Ravana’s hands.
Rama and Laksmana then collaborated with Sugriwa and Hanoman, leaders of the monkey army, to free Sita. After receiving instructions from Hanoman and the help of Wibisana, Ravana’s younger brother who sided with Rama, they succeeded in invading Lanka by building a bridge to the kingdom.
