Doha: After completing the second ten days of Ramadan fasting, it is time for the last ten days of blessings. By breaking the fast on Tuesday 20, believers enter into the days of very special nights. In the last 10 years, huge arrangements have been made in view of the crowd in the mosques.
Believers will be active in prayer ways by having itikaaf (prayer) in the mosques day and night. Auqaf as a section of Islamic religious affairs has made extensive preparations in all mosques. The authorities have announced the list of 111 mosques for Itikaf. From Doha to Alkhor and Wakrah, mosques have been prepared for I’tikaf in various parts of Qatar, day and night. According to belief, in the last ten days, men and women actively sit in mosques reciting the Qur’an, praying and praying.
Children below 18 years of age are allowed to sit I’tikaf with their parents. It has been suggested that the mosque and its premises should be kept clean and the worshipers should not talk or behave in a way that might cause trouble.
