The Egyptian artist and media, Sherine El Tahan, passed away in the early hours of Friday morning, following a long struggle with cancer.
Where the Syndicate of Representative Professions announced the departure of Sherine Al-Tahan, provided that the funeral prayer will be held following Friday prayers, from the Fatima Al-Sharbatly Mosque in the Fifth Settlement area in Cairo.
The health ailment that Sherine El Tahan went through in her last days was a surprise to the audience, as she was hiding her cancer, before the matter was finally revealed.
Sherine was inside the hospital for nearly a month, amid a deterioration in the vital functions of the body, until the announcement of her death at the end, amid the great sadness of those around her.
In recent years, Sherine Al-Tahan did not participate in artworks, as her last appearance was 6 years ago when she was in the series “Ramadan Kareem”, which was shown in 2017.
Shereen Al-Tahan died one day following the Actors’ Syndicate announced that the United Media Services Company would cover the expenses of her treatment, in light of the depletion of her family’s financial resources by her long treatment journey.
The late woman began her career as a broadcaster on Egyptian television, before entering the field of acting, to participate in more than one cinematic and dramatic work, but she disappeared for many years, before the audience was surprised by the news of her illness and its arrival at a late stage.
