Ramadan in Egypt is an Unforgettable Experience, Says the Korean Ambassador in Cairo Following Matareya Iftar

The South Korean Ambassador to Cairo, Hong Jin Wook, was delighted to participate in the annual Al-Mataria Iftar collective held during the holy month of Ramadan. He praised the unique and wonderful atmosphere and expressed that the culture of love and camaraderie witnessed during the event is a source of pride. The people of Al-Mataria region organized the largest iftar table for the people for the ninth year in a row. The organizers of the event stated that the table started with one street in its first year and has grown to dozens of streets participating in it annually.

The Korean ambassador stated that this culture is a culture of love and a source of pride, as he witnessed the spirit of camaraderie and community, describing it as existing only here in Egypt..

The ambassador described the feeling he felt during breakfast, through everyone’s interest in him, in an atmosphere of love and joy, and that he is never alone, as a gift from breakfast..

The Korean ambassador confirmed that all the food was wonderful and very tasty, whether stuffed vegetables, tajines, or qatayef, all of them are wonderful and beneficial to health, and he also confirmed that he liked very much Ramadan drinks, especially sobia..

The people of Al-Mataria region organized the largest iftar table for the people, for the ninth year in a row, as many of them participate, through their own efforts, in organizing it annually..
