Disturbing fans and an overzealous security officer: Ralf Schmitz is no laughing matter during a comedy show. What he doesn’t know: Hans Sigl and Barbara Schöneberger are behind it.

Berlin – Ralf Schmitz (48) really wanted to make his fans laugh with his comedy program. But on this one special evening, it was visibly difficult for him to keep his good mood. The reason: Hans Sigl (53), Barbara Schöneberger (49) and “Do you understand fun?”.

Ralf Schmitz can’t believe it: fans storm the stage during the comedy show

Why do you go to a comedy show? Correct! To really laugh tears of joy. But a mother-son couple makes it difficult for Ralf Schmitz to even start his show. The two are not only late, but are also really loud on their way to the front row.

Once there, Sohnemann has to get up again because he forgot his money “What’s going on now? Does he have to go to the toilet again?” Ralf Schmitz asks calmly. Back at the seat, the two really want a selfie – and storm onto the stage with the comedian. A little irritated, but still in a good mood, he also goes along with it: After all, they are his fans.

But Ralf Schmitz is absolutely stunned when an overzealous security officer yells at the mother-son team for their behavior: “I’ve got my eyes on you. Another thing like that and you’re out, your mother’s out too,” says the man with a thick Berlin accent. The comedian is clearly worried and asks if his fans are okay. What Ralf Schmitz doesn’t know: mother and son belong to the “Understand you fun” team and the man from the security staff is actually Bergdoktor Hans Sigl.

Meanwhile, Hans Sigl patrols the edge of the stage as a conscientious security and excitedly takes photos – it’s hard to miss that he’s also a big fan of Ralf Schmitz. The comedian is now bringing him onto the stage and he too is allowed to take a selfie with him.

Ralf Schmitz tries to apologize to his audience several times, but Hans Sigl keeps trying to intervene. At some point he is just a microphone holder while the security officer takes over his stage. At some point Hans Sigl redeems him, takes off his glasses and wig and asks him: “The question is: Do you understand jokes, Mr. Schmitz?”.

Ralf Schmitz throws the microphone aside and looks stunned at the audience while Hans Sigl shows him the hidden cameras. “I have goosebumps,” said the comedian. While Hans Sigl and Ralf Schmitz are still in each other’s arms, Barbara Schöneberger is now also displayed above them: “Hello, I’m your favorite Babsi. We tricked you.” The comedian is still stunned. “I hate you guys,” is all he can answer.

Speaking of the Bergdoktor: on May 11, the fans and stars of “Der Bergdoktor” met for the annual fan day in Scheffau. It once again became clear how popular the ZDF series is at the moment. Sources used: ARD/Do you understand fun? Episode from 05/27/2023
