Raizen teams advance in the Ignis Cup and Serie B of Liga GG and consolidate themselves in the competitive scene
After putting their project to train and professionalize e-sports athletes into practice, Raizen teams are starting to reap results. Raizen Jynx secured a spot for the Ignis Cup 2023 dispute, while Raizen Force won qualification for the GG League Series B final in their debut in the competition.
Raizen Jynx, women’s LoL team and runner-up of the 2022 Ignis Cup, maintained last year’s good performance and ranked 3rd in the Goddess Cup. The performance is worth a spot in this year’s Ignis Cup, which will also feature Netshoes Miners, Guerreiras Brownie, Coven, Rise Gaming, paiN Gaming, Jupiter King e-sport and Loops E-sports – which will be Raizen’s opponent.
After runner-up in 2022, Jynx starts Ignis dispute with an eye on the title
The Ignis Cup playoffs will take place from the 1st to the 5th of June and the final will be in person, at the CBLOL Arena. Decision tickets will be sold from May 23. The winning team of the tournament pockets BRL 15,000, while the second place will receive BRL 11,000, third and fourth place will receive BRL 9,000 and, finally, the fifth to eighth place will receive BRL 4,000.
For Kenzo Mitohara, coach of the team, the team showed a clear evolution during the three qualifying stages. “The girls had an impressive evolutionary curve. In the first stage, the performance was not the best, but after the team assimilated the change from Meninamá to Jimmy, our performances became more solid”.
Debuting in Série B, Force reached the final and became the first team in history to win nine consecutive victories.
In addition to Jimmy’s entry into the main team, another determining factor for the team’s performance was the performance of midlaner Stasia. “We had a great game against Rise Up, the team was very good and focused. Stasia was the great individual highlight, without a doubt”, completes the coach.
Another of Raizen a Force’s teams: final and historic invincibility
Raizen Force, a LoL men’s team, reached the final of Serie B of Liga GG in their first participation in the competition. The campaign for the classification was historic. For the first time on the circuit, Force scored nine consecutive victories – no other team achieved the feat. The Series B final takes place on May 21, when Force faces XV de Piracicaba, at 1pm.
Despite the positive sequence, the path was not easy. Force kept only niN and Luuukz in their starting lineup, with midlaner, ADC and support changes. “We are confident for the semifinals, even more so after a historic campaign. We had a lot of changes during the championship, which made us take some steps back. We lost two players to the CBLoL Academy, which reinforces the quality of the work developed by Raizen and consolidates us in the competitive scenario”, emphasizes Mitohara.
The coach explains that the work methodology of Raizen teams is focused on technically developing their athletes and that victories are a consequence of that. “It’s not just talent, there’s a whole lot of work behind the results. We have a team that has a lot of technical and didactic capacity to pass on and apply knowledge”, he concludes.
