According to forecasts, the greatest population decline in the coming decades will occur in the Silesian Voivodeship. Population decline will be noticeable in almost all regions. The only exception will be the Warsaw capital region, where population growth is forecast. According to the Polish Press Agency, it was assumed that by 2060 there will be a significant increase, among others demographic old age rate from 20.9 percent in 2025 to 32.6 percent in 2060. It is the ratio of the number of people aged 65 and over to the total population. “The percentage of people over 65 years of age in 2060 in large cities will range from approximately 29% to 40%.” – told PAP.
