The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) predicted on Tuesday, August 6, that rain will continue in the coming hours in several regions of Venezuela.

Where is tropical wave 27 located?

Inameh forecast that it will move over eastern Venezuela during the night of Tuesday, August 6.

On Monday, August 5, the agency also reported that tropical wave number 27 has a 30% chance of becoming a cyclone.

According to the meteorological agency’s report, published on the social network X, precipitation is expected due to the movement of tropical wave number 27, which generates cloudiness and rain of varying intensity over sectors of the eastern regions, Guayana, central and western plains.

Inameh reported that partial cloud cover will continue in several states of the country in the morning, while in the afternoon and evening an increase in cloud cover is estimated for the recording of rain and showers with electrical discharges.

Users on social networks reported this Monday, August 5 strong rains which left damage in various areas of the Capital District and Miranda.

Caracas Firefighters reported the fall of a six-meter-long tree on a house located on Calle 2 in El Valle. The incident did not cause any major consequences, according to the general commander of the Capital District Firefighters, Pablo Palacios.

In addition to the Guaire River, in Los Teques there was an overflow of a stream located behind the Los Salias Cultural Complex, in San Antonio de Los Altos, according to the media The Tequeño.

On the other hand, in some areas such as Caricuao and Los Teques, users have also reported that, in addition to the rains, there were also power outages.

“The Guaire and San Pedro rivers and streams in Los Teques and Ocumare del Tuy overflowed in some sections, but the water levels are already decreasing. We are assessing the damage and assisting families,” wrote Héctor Rodríguez, governor of Miranda state in X.
