Rainbow Six Extraction features a new Crisis that will plunge you into darkness | Xbox One

Ubisoft has just updated the latest addition to the Tom Clancy franchise with a brand new Public Event that’s available now until September 1st. Rainbow Six Extraction offers players the Eclipse crisis mode in which it will be necessary to turn on the light once more. On the program, new equipment and items to unlock in addition to a new operator in the team.

Echo to the rescue to fight neoplasm

The major addition of the new Eclipse mode is the appearance of Echo among the list of operators available to your squad, he is equipped with a Yokai drone which will be very useful to carry out the Eclipse mission.

Concretely, the drone will allow you to observe the terrain to identify the position of enemies, to scan them and even to deceive them by attracting their attention and thus allowing your teammates to shoot them down. Better, once level 7 has been reached for Echo, his drone will have the possibility of triggering a devastating sonic burst to overcome the Archaeans.

Unlockable via a study, the Aura REACT grenade will be the additional asset of your arsenal. Thanks to its technology, it will be possible to lure enemies to attract them in large numbers and then detonate the grenade from a distance.

The neoplasm cut the light, it’s up to you to turn it back on

The course of the mission is simple, but a priori not so easy to achieve. The neoplasm, a kind of luminescent blob, has cut off the light and plunged the playing area into darkness, to turn it back on, you will have to remove the neoplasm in three places in the area.

The great difficulty lies in the elusiveness of the neoplasm. If he detects too much movement around him, his defense mechanism will prevent you from performing the execution and you will have to try your approach once more. Especially since if you do not succeed in the first two eliminations, a fourth will make things even more difficult.

Add to that a generator to restart while hoping that the random reboot of this one does not come to slow down your progress and you have there all the elements which will come to slow down your will to turn on the light once more.

As a reminder, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series XlS, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and PC. It can be found in Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and via Xbox Cloud Gaming. The Eclipse Crisis event is completely free for all players and will be playable from August 11 to September 1, 2022.
