Dubai: Unstable weather in many places in UAE. Authorities in various emirates warned to follow traffic rules and drive safely in adverse weather conditions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported heavy rains in various parts of the country, including Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah. The Meteorological Department has reported heavy rain and issued orange and yellow alerts for Hatta in Dubai and Khat in Ras Al Khaimah.

Some parts of Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah and Al Ain received moderate rain. Some parts of Dubai and other emirates are also experiencing dust storms. Drivers were warned to follow traffic rules to avoid untoward incidents. The Ministry of Home Affairs requested motorists to exercise caution in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
Abu Dhabi Police has advised motorists to be cautious as the rain continues. The changing speed limit displayed on the electronic information boards must be followed. Sharjah Police has advised drivers to be cautious as the dust is blowing. Keep a safe distance between vehicles and slow down.
The NCM says that the unstable weather will continue till 6 pm today. Strong winds are also expected. This will raise dust and sand in some areas. Horizontal visibility is reduced to less than 2,000 meters. The authority has issued safety guidelines for motorists in rainy weather. The authorities are trying to increase rainfall in the country through cloud seeding.
