- In its latest meteorological bulletin, Inameh reported that weather conditions favorable to rain will continue in a large part of the national territory.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) reported that tropical wave number 24 of the season will move over Venezuela on Thursday, July 25.
The agency detailed that for this reason they forecast rains of varying intensity, some with electrical discharges, throughout the national territory, except for the states of Yaracuy, Lara and Falcón, where stable weather conditions are expected to continue.
Inameh reported that the rains are generated due to the interaction of tropical waves with the intertropical interconvergence zone.
Tropical wave number 25, which will also pass through the country, is located southeast of Cape Verde.
What is a tropical wave?
A tropical wave is a meteorological phenomenon consisting of a type of trough, which causes areas of clouds and storms. These systems form in the west of the African continent and move from east to west across the Atlantic Ocean.
Inameh indicated that between 55 and 65 tropical waves are expected to reach Venezuela during the 2024 season.
